; Wylie Completes Basic Trainingj Melvin If. Wylie, son of Mr. j and Mrs. Rupert T. Wylie of Meadow. completed recruit training at the Naval Training Center. San Diego, Calif., and participated in graduation ceremonies May 17 which involved approximately 3.U00 men j in the weekly Recruit BrigadeI Review.The nine-week training includes naval orientation, cus-toms and etiquette, traditions , and courtesies, ordance andgunnery, first aid, swimming and survival, seamanship and shipboard routine, sentry duty, physical fitness and militarydrill.
