Members of the Bix camps of the United Spanish. War Veterans of the District of Columbia held their thirteenth annual encampment last night at the Eagles* Hall and elected department officers. At the same time the members of the ladles* auxiliary assembled In another section of the hall and also selected officers. James P. Greeley, senior vice department com* mander, presided over the encampmeqt-Jere A. Costello was elected, department commander. The other officers selected were Capt. J. L. King, senior vice department commander; Sergt. H.'C. Wilson, Junior vice department commander, Capt. J, F. Cassidy, department inspector; John Lewis Smith, judge advocate general of the department; William A. Dowling, department chaplain,** and Sergt. A. 15-Smith, department marshal.John A. Hogan, Harry B. Coulter. M. D. Mettee. James E. Maynard, and Joseph D. Wilkinson* were selected delegates at large to the national encampment, which will convene at Atlantic Cltv, September 9.Miss Tlllle M. Roth, as the retiring department president, presided at the auxiliary convention. She was presented with a handsomd gold pin. The officers elected by -the auxiliary were Mrs. LucHe Fehl, department president; Mrs. Cora M.
