BIG TRANSPORTS NOW IN USESteamer Leviathan, Formerly the Vat-erland, Has Arrived in France With American Troog*.,;V v:'; ....... -iI; A French City, Jan. 31.—The great steamer Leviathan, formerly the Vat-erland, has arrived at an European port carrying thousands of American soldiers.They had an uneventful vdffege and did not sight a submarine. .*I It is permissable to announce to America today that the transports Covington, Cincinnati, President' Lincoln, President Grant, Powhattan ad Madawaska, all of which were seized by the United States at the outbreak of the war, and the former North German Lloyd steamships George Washington, Mount Vernon, Agamemmon, Aeolus, Mercury, Pocahontas, Huron and Antigone have all arrived. %They carried thousands of Ameri can troops and thousands of tons ofEvery one of these transports has arrived at an European port ten months earlier than their former Ger man crews anticipated when they smashed the machinery , aboard each lint*r. f ■ , s.„ „• ■
