Thos. Franklin received notice Saturday evening to report to Camp Dodge August 1st.Private John J. Ronk, of Lewis, in this county, is reported as seriously wounded “somewhere in France,”Byron Crozier, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Crozier, went with the Adair county boys last week to Camp Pike, Arkansas.Thomas Franklin will be the only colored man to go from Cass county to enter army service. He will report at Camp Dodge.
