Now he weighs 90 pounds..The Guide’s skipper, Lt. Cmdr. Frank Dukat. promoted Nunya to first class cook. Promotion was based on the dog’s recognition and taste for food rather than cooking.Following Nunya’s retirement the captain gave 20 crewmen letters of com-men da tic n for their work during the deployment.The Guide will be deactivated June 30 after 18 years of service.
