Butle Girl Enlists in Army CorpsMiss Jane Gibson Steadman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Steadman, 1047 Utah avenue, was enlisted in the WAC at the Montana Army Recruiting and Induction center. Miss Steadman is a graduate of the Webster grade schooland Butte high school. Prior to her enlistment she was employed at the Hennessy company here and previous to that time was employed in the Boeing Aircraft plant at Seattle.The well-known Butte young woman, whose father is a prominent member of Silver Bow Post of the American Legion, has been a member of the local Civil Air Patrol. Cadet section, and will leave soon for Port Des Moines, Iowa, and basic training.Also enlisted in the WAC Saturday was Miss Mildred Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louise M. Davts of Browning. Miss Davis is a graduate of Browning high school apd Is a teletype operator. Following her basic training she will be assigned to some unit of the Army as a teletype operator.
