Royal Birthday Celebrations At St James's Amid Splendor

Yesterday marked the Majesty's birthday with bells at dawn and a noon reception at St James's attended by nobility and foreign ministers. A grand ball followed in the great ballroom, with a brilliant company, especially the ladies. Evening bonfires and illuminations spread joy and loyalty as the Royal Family appeared in full. The Princess Amelia and attendants traveled in a new state coach guarded by life guards.
