Changeable weather included snow on Wednesday and Saturday and a Tuesday evening rain with high winds. Hogey snow storms were reported on the west end of the line last week. This week is expected to end sleighing activity.

Residents of Meyronne and district plan a social evening Friday at eight to honor local boys returning from service before departure. The event may be at the New Liberty theatre or the schoolhouse with all residents urged to attend. The Independent carries The Sentry Box March issue from Moose Jaw and notes local soldiers with friends at Meyronne. A. W. D. Yule leaves for Coronation Alberta after a year in Meyronne. several returnees from Moose Jaw on leave also visit.
Liberal executives met at the New Philibert theatre in Meyronne on Friday evening March 22 to appoint delegates for the Liberal convention to be held in Meuse Jaw today and tomorrow March 28 29. Delegates named include Dr T F Donnelly W G Graves and D Rodger with an executive committee listed. Resolutions called for biannual Liberal Central Saskatchewan meetings and new campaign financing rules. Gust Rolstad visited Shaunavon after resigning from Paradi’s garage to prep for a new season. Elmer Vail and sister Pearl headed to Assiniboia en route to Nopinka Manitoba after visiting Meyronne. The Ladies Aid hosted the Meyronne Dramatic Club dinner at the Scott home with a social afterglow.
The Meyronne Dramatic Club presented Nevada or the Lost Mine at the New Philbert theatre last Wednesday drawing the largest Meyronne audience yet. Over 250 in tickets were sold for the Red Cross fund, with praise for the cast and for director A. Berg who led the production.
Willie Houze entertained eight of his young friends at a four to eight party honoring his tenth birthday Saturday evening. It was one of the happiest affairs seen in Meyronne, and the youngsters enjoyed the evening immensely. Forest Tick visited Monday and loaded a McCormick drill and disc harrow to be sent, his last trip before break-up. The 229th Battalion C F E F has been notified it will soon go overseas. many Meyronne boys are in this unit.
