Local notes report several visitors and travel events. Cote visited La Fleche, Hill traveled to Moose Jaw on business, Mrs. Leckie rode to Woodrow, Dr. Houze went to Aneroid, Irene Touchard returned to Melaval after a short stay, Geo Neeley and A Ripley made office visits and an auction sale is planned for March 12 at A R Chase’s farm eight miles north of Meyronne.
A kettle of boiling water toppled on a train stove near Bearas as the freight car train began moving. Bearas suffered scalding injuries while riding in the caboose and had to be moved to a hotel for care by Dr. Donnelly. He continued his journey the next evening to Hazenmore with three car loads of horses.
All bread tickets are recalled and will not be redeemed if returned after March 8, 1917. Meyronne Bakery, S Robinson, proprietor.
Meeting of Meyronne Village Council chaired by Overseer Scott and Councillor Rodgers. Motions adopt previous minutes file correspondence note W Braniff transfer cemetery for Swift Current registration revise by law wording transfer dealers to transient trade. Funds approved payments to Johnson Rogers Sbr Yards Christie’s Book Store Art Thompson Stamps and others. Secretary to notify John Lizee license procurement and tax arrears actions. Dr Donnelly to be paid once funds collected.

H. J. Frost visited Woodrow on Friday and Mrs Champlain left Saturday for Winnipeg. R. B. Payne arrived from Milly last Wednesday while Joe Fisher and family returned Friday from a stateside trip. Mrs Gendrow departed Saturday for Ontario and Quebec to spend the summer as March arrives like a lamb.
