Middleton House Minister Converts Neighbors to Methodism
In 1763 the miller at Hartlepool married and later rebuilt his mill and home. He invited Methodist ministers to his house, endured reproach, and helped establish meetings at Strawton and Hartlepool, aiding many souls to conversion while securing a stable livelihood. His steadfast faith and upright conduct earned neighborly recognition.
