Methodist Magazine portrait of Couffins and Wells urging ministry
The article recounts Mr Joan Warton’s Bristol Circuit year praising Jonathan Couffins and urging him toward itinerant ministry. Despite objections from Mr Couffins, Wesley encourages his entry into the work, citing God’s plans beyond human understanding. Wesley describes Couffins as humble, integral, teachable, and devoted to fasting and prayer.
