Myrniong Co operative Butter Company Faces Change
A long standing dairy cooperative in Myrniong confronts a crisis as suppliers patronize a Bacchus Marsh milk wagon, threatening a possible shift to a milk factory. Directors plan a Saturday meeting with suppliers to decide whether to convert the plant or retain current operations, with a shareholders’ meeting a month away. The issue is set against unfair customs embargo and impending slaughtering legislation affecting dairy farmers and landowners.
