Calgary man faces two capital murder charges
Norman Marshall Campbell of Calgary was charged with two counts of capital murder in Magistrate's Court for the stabbing deaths of Mr and Mrs Henry Albert Treend. A simple murder charge was withdrawn earlier. The couple's bodies were found August 10 in their North Calgary home. Campbell was remanded to October 5 with a preliminary inquiry likely October 12. The revised code defines capital murder as punishable by death and non capital murder by imprisonment.
