Edmonton leaders pursue saving legal costs on a prosperity certificates agreement linked to August relief grants. The city already received cash and may drop the court challenge. Two members of a hunting party at the Halfway river headwaters were forced to eat horse meat for seven days to avoid starvation after being trapped ten days by a severe snowstorm. Guide James Ross, Hudson Hope, reported he and another hunter had gone three days without food before a pack horse was shot to feed the group.
