Hostages freed as convicts surrender at Archambault Institute
Convicts Serge Payeur and Michel Boudreau released four hostages after 57 hours in a prison siege at Archambault. The pair then surrendered to guards and were moved to a super-maximum facility in Laval. Hostages included teachers Michel Pare and John Brockman and security officer Serge Geoffroy. all unharmed. Ratifying prisoners Racine, Thibault, and others had begun surrendering earlier in the crisis.

Two Toronto officers charged with manslaughter in Johnson shooting
