Langs cleared of extortion in hare-brained plot to seduce mayor

Ed Lang and his son Doug were found not guilty of attempted extortion and conspiracy after a jury ruled their scheme to hire a woman to lure Mayor Paul Elder into a motel room was not intended to threaten him. The trial heard of a videotaped plan and a 2500-head feedlot bid blocked by Elder.
