Medicine Hat College eyes multi generational facility next to Cultural Centre
A proposed multi generational building at Medicine Hat College could be built beside the Cultural Centre with a design concept ready in six to eight months. The project would cost 40 to 57 million dollars with the city and province contributing parts of funding and the college already pledging six million. Century-old tree coming down after neighbour dispute
Work began Wednesday to cut down a century-old poplar on 11th Street SE near Division Avenue ending a long dispute between Rev. Jerold Daniels and the neighbour. The tree, about 22 feet in circumference and 105 years old, prompted a 60 day removal notice from the neighbour's lawyer at end of May.
