Winnipeg reports that a Western Canada Airways aircraft crashed into Lake Manitoba 130 miles north of the city. Victims are George PicKee of Toronto Arthur Roach of Winnipeg and novelist Arthur Hunt Chute of New York. The flight was bound for Fort McMurray via Cranberry Portage. Weather and fog contributed to the accident, with the plane sinking in three feet of water.

Acting on Justice Department orders from Ottawa the Royal Canadian Mounted Police arrested Matthew Lyons wanted by the Irish Free State for embezzlement. Lyons, a fugitive, was onderweg from Blackie to Wofford when seized. He had served as a timekeeper for the CPR construction gang at Blackie.

Edmonton Priest Robbed in Chicago After Visit
Father J O Sullivan of Edmonton Alberta and his Chicago brother Timothy were robbed in the vestibule of the Timothy O Sullivan home. The assailants took sixty dollars from the priest and twenty from Timothy citing desperation. The priest's request for a return ticket to Edmonton was granted and the robbers fled.

Fred Gingett appeared before Capt. Parker at the city police court and was remanded until tomorrow morning on a theft charge.
