Boston dispatch reports the British yacht Mary OConnor sailing from Halifax NS was abandoned in a sinking condition thirty miles south of Cape Sable. The six crew were rescued by the Dutch steamer Jacatra and the yacht, deemed a navigation menace, was set on fire. Word of abandonment and rescue reached Boston by radio.
