Bus switchback to take months after council vote

City officials warned that reverting to former bus routes and hours will take about three months to reinstate the prior schedule. Public services commissioner Karen Charlton said a general timeline isn’t set, citing many moving parts, union implications, and logistical issues. Transit times will be adjusted next week with routes that were scheduled for 30 minutes now taking 35 minutes to improve accuracy, separate from the broader changes approved Monday. Further dates and protocol will be announced by the city when known.
