Farmer Killed At Tilley In Level Crossing Crash
Paul Buday, 17, died when his truck was struck by eastbound passenger train No. 2 at a level crossing near Tilley at 10:30 a.m. He had been returning home with groceries for a threshing crew. the crash left the vehicle smashed and the driver dead at the scene. Engineer R. H. Downing of Calgary slowed but did not see the truck in daylight. Fireman noted but expected the driver would stop.
