Plane crash lands in South Saskatchewan River nine injured

A twin engine plane en route to Fort St. John BC suffered engine failure two minutes after takeoff from Medicine Hat. It crash landed in the South Saskatchewan River three kilometres north of Canadian Fertilizers. five people survived with minor to non critical injuries. One survivor flown to Calgary, four to Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. Authorities from Medicine Hat Police, Redcliff RCMP, Transport Canada and fire and environment teams conducted the rescue and recovery operations updating survivors around 9:40 p.m. and into Thursday.
