Medicine Hat man Darryl Faulkner pleaded not guilty in provincial court to arson and was remanded until Oct 17 for a preliminary hearing. Aftershocks batter Iran as quake toll rises nationwide
In northeastern Iran a series of aftershocks follows a 7.7 magnitude quake that killed or injured about 15 000. Tabas reports two-thirds of its 12 000 residents dead with many survivors injured and thousands buried in surrounding villages.
