Hijackers Move as Croats Release Passengers in Madrid
Nine Croatian extremists who hijacked a Scandinavian Airlines jet released 83 passengers after bargaining with Sweden for six inmates and about 104000 dollars in ransom. The DC-9, with four Swedish crew, landed in Madrid after a three hour flight from Malmo. Immediate disembarkation of the hijackers was not confirmed by Spanish authorities.

Alberta legislature to get wide pay raises, report says
