Man Arrested After Series Of High Speed Collisions

Medicine Hat police arrested a man after a pickup caused multiple crashes on 12th Street NE toward Parkview Drive. The driver fled, abandoned the vehicle, and was taken into custody. Road closures and school bus service disruptions affected Crescent Heights High School area as investigations continued. Kenow Fire near Waterton townsite worsens as winds flare

The Kenow Fire in Waterton Lakes National Park intensified with rising fire behaviour forecast over the next two days ahead of weather relief. Officials said the fire, about 11,400 hectares and moving toward the Cameron Valley, could reach the Waterton townsite within eight to 12 hours under a specific wind alignment. Fire suppression remains challenging with high winds and smoke, though Parks Canada reports extensive preparation and resources in place. Florida Weathers Irma Aftermath Rushed Carrier Assists

Authorities dispatched an aircraft carrier and navy ships to aid search and rescue as Irma battered the Florida Keys with 130 mph winds. Gov.
