J W Bray a veteran in Western Canada died in hospital after a nine day illness. Funeral set for tomorrow at Trinity Church Hot with J Jessop Nott in charge. Survived by widow six daughters three sons thirty nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Bray born 1840 in Herefordshire England served with Tenth Pasters later joined Royal Northwest Mounted Police in Toronto and helped organize the force. Newton Lane auctioneer of Empress died in a road accident about eight o’clock Sunday evening. He likely fell from a buggy, the wheels passed over his head, and a coroner ruled no inquest. Lane, 73, had homesteaded near Leeland and was well regarded. His wife died in Vancouver last June. he had a son killed overseas and a daughter in Vancouver. He was a brother of Rev Lane, former Grace Methodist pastor in Winnipeg. Funeral arrangements were set for Pulley's undertaking rooms in Vernon Earl Hudgely's family obituary followed.
