Service Station Blazes in Overnight Inferno

A fire of unknown origin gutted the Trans Canada Service Station and Motel at 780 Eighth St. S.W. early this morning. Fire Chief Len Morris said considerable damage and loss of contents, including tires and equipment, with insurance covering the blaze. Five firemen fought the flames from 12:40 a.m. to 2:35 a.m. No injuries were reported. Proprietors are W. Semrau and Sons. alarm credited to night attendant A. Semrau from the nearby White Spot.

Part of funeral seen as mother faints at grave
