Darcy leaped in front of the locomotive, hurled the child to the platform with three feet to spare, and stopped the wheels within feet of the boy. The crowd rallied in relief and a woman fainted.

Edmonton September 8 Precise time in the hunt for Royal Canadian Air Force men Flight Lieutenant Sheldon Coleman and Aircraftman J Forty was lost as adverse weather grounded six aircraft. The pair disappeared August 17 after leaving Hunger Lake for Fort Reliance 240 miles north of Fort Reliance on a two flight. No trace of the plane has been found. Fort Reliance lies on the eastern lip of Great Slave Lake about 60 miles northeast of Edmonton.
