City council sought a half holiday Sept. 15 to allow public school and separate school students to attend Medicine Hat’s first annual light horse show, but the public school board declined while the separate board agreed.
Ottawa government asks parliament in the current session to approve 442.2 million dollars to expand the defence program for 1950 51.
