Klein rejects December session to debate Growth Summit

Alberta Premier Ralph Klein says there is no time for a December special session to debate the Growth Summit's 243 recommendations. Opposition parties will get a chance next spring in the throne speech and budget, while Klein studies budget implications before acting. The Growth Summit report urges more municipal infrastructure spending, higher education and health funding, and up to 1 billion dollars in tax cuts. Klein's caucus will review the 305 page report over two days.
