With 17 days until Canadians vote, five candidates in Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner spoke at the Medicine Hat Public Library about issues including seniors care and immigration. Final outlay of grants eyed as potential last under MSI

Medicine Hat officials await city council on next week’s proposal detailing the final escalator of the Municipal Sustainability Initiative grants to local nonprofits. Since 2008 the city has directed 104000 annually to support operating costs and projects, with 2015 approving 24 groups receiving 1500 to 8000 each.
