Alberta to introduce dental fee guide to align with other provinces
Alberta Health announced a new dental fee guide to reduce prices for 60 common procedures by about 8.5 percent from 2016 levels. The guide, effective January 1 2018, offers a reference point but is not mandatory and dentists may set their own fees. It aims to boost public confidence and help patients question fees that are higher than the guide.
