Canada wins WTO dispute over U S country of origin labelling
Canada claims a WTO ruling favours its challenge to U S COOL meat country of origin labeling. Ottawa prepared to announce the decision with Trade Minister Ed Fast and Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz in Calgary. The measure, in force since 2008, was said to raise export costs and dampen cattle values by about $100 per head.
