Impaired Driver Found With Loaded Shotgun In Vehicle

Medicine Hat police stopped a 2000 Chevy Silverado for suspected impaired driving at 10 p.m. Saturday. Officers found a sawed off shotgun within reach of the driver and five shells in the loaded weapons. The 23 year old Calgary man faces multiple firearm related charges and awaits a bail hearing. The female passenger also faces firearms charges and warrants.

Medicine Hat Chamber Show Draws 9920 Over Three Days

Attendance at the Medicine Hat trade show topped 9 920 across three days with vendors such as Messenger Hobbies and Toys from Kelowna enjoying strong traffic. Jeremy Messenger praised the event and its management while makeup artist Dianne Ziegenhagel said the exposure and networking were the weekend’s key benefits.

Medalla project in Medicine Hat praised as a vibrant arts hub

The federal Economic Action Plan provides 3 million for the Medalla complex with provincial support and Medicine Hat contributing 365000. Attendees include Renner visiting for the 1974 dedication and Bill Yuill who lauded the site as more than a museum, a living arts center boosting tourism and local identity.
