CFIA Begins Destruction of TB Cattle in Medicine Hat Region
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has started destroying TB infected cattle while testing many herds and tracing five years of interactions. Only one TB case found, but about 30 ranches remain under quarantine and cattle movement is halted. Officials warn investigations may take months with more premises potentially quarantined.

Alberta targets more renewable power with carbon revenue plan
Alberta outlines a Renewable Electricity Program to reach a 30 percent renewables target by 2030. The plan auctions 5,000 MW of capacity, uses carbon levy revenues to fund projects, and aims to attract at least 10.5 billion in private investment and create 7,200 jobs while avoiding ratepayer costs.
