Catholic board approves toughest balanced budget for 2013-14
Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education trustees approve a balanced 2013-14 budget with fewer teachers and restructured programs. Enrolment declines and funding changes create 1.31 million in savings and 603,000 less funding for 51 fewer students, leaving a 146,000 surplus. Seven differentiated learning teachers are cut, moving to the general pool.
