Scaffold Collapse Kills Two at Indy Auto Race
A 30 foot aluminum scaffold collapsed at the start of a 500 mile auto race in Indianapolis, killing two men and injuring many others. About 37 were taken to Speedway hospital, with some severely hurt. Medicine Hat Youth Wins Provincial Driving Crown
Eighteen-year-old Vernon Ruff of Medicine Hat won the 1960 provincial teen-age driving road-to crown after strong marks in driving tests and a written exam.
