Dominion Revolver Contest Winners Named in Montreal
The Canadian Pacific Railway police Ontario No 1 team won the Dominion Revolver Championship for the Chief Constables Association trophy with 402 points the highest ever score in the event. Thirty six teams competed with Winnipeg city police second 1379 Montreal third 1316 and CP Rail teams from Atlantic provinces and western provinces placing among the top ranks. The final rounds used rapid fire twenty shots at 12 targets and twenty at 20 yards with a standard 32 Colt revolver rather than a special pistol.

Changes In Grain Act Reconnamende
Ottana May 23. Changes in a Canada Grain Act were recommended to the consideration of the agricultural committee of the House by the board of grain commissioners yesterday. Leslie Boyd, chairman, and Matthew Snow explained the proposals. The committee will discuss further. The act would increase powers over current Governor in Council order provisions and ease administration without frequent Ottawa appeals. Other ideas included testing lab supervision under the National Resources Council instead of the Grain Board. The issue of hybrid tickets sparked debate as the board opposed limiting farmer choice of grain terminal. Members and witnesses debated enforcement of damages against elevator companies and authority to enforce payments without civil suit.

A gasoline explosion at Fisher Grid wounded three year old Walter Nykyforuk and four others when a father tried to fill a cigarette lighter from a jar of gasoline. Walter is severely burned.
