The Medicine Hat Trading Co Ltd announces a fresh stock of ladies boots shoes and slippers with 12 cases of pairs in latest styles and lasts offered at the closest prices for a limited time.

H. G. Gooper offers water by barrel or weck and draying and teaming. Baggage handling is prompt. Legal coal orders filled. Wood products include blocks and shib cuttings. Slabwood and stove length wood priced per load, yard dry. Ranchers visiting town can have horses cared for and fed.
Notice of application to the Lieutenant Governor in Council for Letters Patent to form The Many Island Lake Sheep Ranch, Limited with offices in Walsh North-West Territories and Winnip es Manitoba. Capital stock 150 shares of 100 each. Applicants Campbell and Crawford claim first directors.
NorthWest Legislative Assembly members visited Medicine Hat on Thursday for a 40 minute tour ending at the waterworks and natural gas wells. They examined the gas heated boilers, saw a gas lit well, and learned about potential town heating. The Council and Board of Trade had planned further stopping over, but train connections prevented Regina arrival.
The adjourned council meeting attended by Mayor Finlay and Councillors Lina Trutchinson and Forster discussed financing the waterworks. A 20 year 4.3 percent debenture issue was proposed to raise about 41,000 to complete the system, extend it, and connect hundreds of households. Additional funds cover street extensions and hydrants while a gas by law for natural gas heating and lighting was noted. An expert was authorized to assess the gas project and cost. The water rate by law and rules schedule were to be reviewed Friday night.
Commissioner Perry of the N W M L P notes in a May 25 letter from Regina that police mounts will be purchased at Medicine Hat on June 1. An scheduling error omitted the date. a note is to be made for the June 1 purchase.
Mail clerk McCulloch of Calgary spent Monday in town for routine correspondence duties and local meetings.

Lacrosse delegates from Edmonton Medicine Hat and Calgary formed a Western Territorial Lacrosse League with clubs from three towns. Calgary Medicine Hat meet June 12 in Medicine Hat for the first league match. A Winnipeg firm trophy will go to league victors and the champions may meet Eastern Territorial winners for the territorial title.
E E Clark is reelected Grand Chief of the Order of Railway Conductors since 1890. Barritson and Maxwell also retain posts. Chas H Wilkinson of Chicago becomes Grand Senior Conductor. Delegates to Grand Division will be paid $6 daily, funding and home building drives backed by new assessments.

The Western Stock Growers Association offer spurred many wolf killings since April 1. The Macleod Advance reports $1,770 distributed by date covering 280 wolves: April 116 wolves including dogs six bitches ten pups 100. May totals 64 wolves with does ten bitches eleven pups 143.
