Red Hat Co-op Faces Major Fire at Redcliff Plant
A large fire at Red Hat Co-op's Redcliff packing plant caused heavy black smoke over the region. Fire departments from three municipalities battled the blaze, damaging receiving doors and cardboard stores while a large trailer was destroyed. Company officials said 280 employees would stay employed and shift to cleanup or work at another plant. Investigation continues with repairs expected late in the day.
