City moves to Plan B for gas supply
Medicine Hat will source gas for a new north-end power unit from TC Energy facilities after the Nova Gas Medicine Hat Looping Project was withdrawn. The 65 kilometre 24 inch pipe would have linked the north end to the TC Energy Mainline near Empress and supported a second turbine under a 15 year contract. officials say a similar arrangement with TC Energy is now in place and capacity remains adequate.
