Medican growth and ventures across Canada and beyond

Medican, founded in 1974 by Wes Resnteller and three partners in Medicine Hat, grew from a concrete firm into a condominium and single family home developer with four condo lines plus the Kingsland division in Southeast Alberta. The group expanded to Canmore, BC, Quebec, and Hawaii, launched Axess affordable housing in 2004, and pursued a 872 acre Calgary project intended for 15,000 residents. A Calgary award honored its Sanherson Ridge Fish Creek Park project, while a Calgary Canvas development faced partial destruction from a blaze witnessed two months prior. The Medican Group includes Medican, Callerete, Medican Landscaping, Creekside Coffee Roasting Co, and Gayles Nest Ranch Christian youth camp.
