Bomber star Mack Herron arrested in Winnipeg

Winnipeg Blue Bombers officials met with head coach Jim Spavital and general manager Earl Lunsford to discuss the weekend arrest of star halfback Mack Herron. Herron and Amos Van Pelt were charged with marijuana possession after arrests Saturday. they are due in court June 6 and released on own recognizance. Herron, former Kansas University standout, had played two CFL seasons and was last year’s Western Conference most outstanding player.
