The Rev Robert Vernon Ottley Graves 77, vicar of Toppishunt D Arcy near Witham Essex, will marry Mildred Pauline Nicolas 28 daughter of Capt R P Nicolas RN and Mrs Nicolas Bitterne Park near Southampton. Graves met her four years ago when she cared for his late wife who died in 1930 after a 46 year marriage.
Miss Bernita McMahlin a 21 year old Edmonton graduate nurse was acquitted by a Criminal Court jury of manslaughter in the death of Miss Faye Christensen 21 after an auto crash on the Edmonton Calgary highway the previous Sunday April 10.
Winnipeg grain inspections list shows wheat 333 cars valued last year at 21 dollars per car, contract 290. oats 108 cars with 60 last year, barley 19 with 40, flax 8 with 4, rye 17 with 5.
