Two Montreal firefighters die in church collapse blaze

A fire at a downtown Montreal Unitarian church began at 4 30 a m. and 100 firemen fought the blaze as the walls collapsed trapping two veteran firefighters Jean Pierre Longpre 32 and Pierre Letourneau 31. The two were killed when the ladder was knocked free and buried under debris after the side walls fell. Three other firefighters were injured. A woman claimed she started the blaze.
