BOYS LOSE LIVES IN RIVER BOATING TRAGEDY
In Sarula Ontario two Port Huron youths Arlon Debell age 15 and Dean Livingston age 19 died when the small duck boat they rode sank after being swamped by swells from a passing steamer. A third boy, Laverne Peakes 17, survived along with an Airedale dog. The accident happened mid stream and alerted nearby shore observers.
