Simard Found Guilty In Laporte Killing At Quebec Trial
Francis Simard, 23, a Quebec student, was convicted of non capital murder in the October strangling of Pierre Laporte. The verdict followed a three week trial with a brief defense and a three hour jury deliberation. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
