Foreman Laws Injured In Bicycle Fall

Walter Laws foreman of the scavenging department was riding down McLeod Trail Hill when his front wheel broke. He was thrown on his head and suffered bruises cuts and a slight concussion. Dr Boyd treated him and he is at home doing well.

Reid's family to sue for damages over prison death

Winnipeg May 20 The family of former Constable R J Reid killed at Stoney Mountain penitentiary two days ago will begin legal action against the Dominion government. The coroner's verdict shifts responsibility and the family plans to seek damages from the government.

Third Hog Day Promised At Medicine Hat Stock Yards

Arrangements complete for the third Hog Day to be held Tuesday June 2 at the stock yards in Medicine Hat. Hog weights 180 to 210 pounds expected to bring top prices with new scales and buyers from various points. The board of trade will sell alfalfa seed at cost 22 cents. thirty farmers have already received seed. Farmers planning to bring hogs should notify the secretary of the board of trade with their numbers.
