About 9:30 PM Thursday a fire on CPR property near the ice house burned rubbish but was quickly controlled to avoid danger to nearby structures. Sunday at 10 PM another alarm sent firefighters to Colter's stables on Toronto Street where a brooder in a chicken house caught fire. no help needed as the fire was extinguished.
