Echo Dale Lake to open with Rise-Up balloon fest near Medicine Hat

Echo Dale Lake will open in late May with the Rise-Up hot air balloon festival set for May 26 29 on the eastern field. City officials say the lake will be full for swimming on May 28 and the festival will feature illuminated tethered flights and daily fly overs. The event has a $15 000 City Vibrancy Grant and 16 balloon operators confirmed plus a mental health awareness partnership with Our Collective Journey.

Premier urges U S senators to back Line 5 halt

Canadian Premier Jason Kenney urged U S senators on Capitol Hill to support new cross border energy conduits and defend Line 5.
